I was playing hide and seek with my friend Tabs last week when I found the best spot ever. It was on top this rack in the bathroom. And the best part was it had clean towels to lay on while I hid.
Well, it was such a good hiding place I ended up taking a nap for a few hours. It was so warm and toasty. Tabs didn’t find me. Unfortunately, the people who live here moved the towels off the shelf and into a closet. The rack doesn’t have solid shelves so my ultimate hiding place was only used once. It was a good hiding place. I really enjoyed those soft towels. They were like laying on a super soft and comfortable mattress.
I do keep my eye on that spot in case the towels return or perhaps a piece of clothing finds its way to the top shelf. I have laid up there a few times on dirty clothes. Mostly when one of the people who live here take a shower… I’ll jump up there for a bit.
My other place to hide is in a box tucked under a chair in the living room. The box is empty. There is just enough room for me to squeeze between the top of the box and the bottom of the chair. I can hide in there for hours at a time.
There’s a cut for a handle I can look through to see what’s happening in the living room, or just watch the other cats walking by looking for me.
I’m pretty tricky when it comes to hiding out from the other cats in the house. There are a few of us so it’s nice to find a spot to have some time to yourself every now and again.
And it’s always nice to have a top secret place to hide when there is a hotly contested game of hide and seek going on. These are truly epic battles for the ages. I’m sure they will be talked about for generations to come.
